Service Coordinator
 

The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity / Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf (CEFS) has a new opportunity for the right individual!

As the largest direct service emergency food provider in Vermont, the CEFS serves over 12,000 people each year.  Our new Service Coordinator will work with Food Shelf visitors and Community Kitchen Academy students and graduates to obtain needed services and benefits; will coordinate administrative duties that measure programmatic progress and outcomes; supervise volunteers to assist with the distribution of food, and help organize the distribution process.

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for the mission of CEFS.  Successful candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in business or human services or combination of education and experience in human services or other appropriate disciplines which include 2-4 years related experience.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required - bilingual abilities are a plus; and the ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with the public, staff, and volunteers. This is a 40 hours/week position.  Travel as needed and a willingness to work evening and weekend hours is required.

Warehouse and Receiving Coordinator
 

Working at the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf (CEFS) can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in life. You’ll be able to observe first-hand how your efforts are helping those in the area, and many times, you’ll also have the opportunity to form relationships with those who regularly come to the program.

As the largest direct service emergency food provider in Vermont, the CEFS serves over 12,000 people each year.  The Warehouse and Receiving Coordinator will organize, distribute, and maintain warehouse inventory, while taking a lead role in the execution of daily procedures of the receiving and warehousing areas of CEFS. 
 

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual.  If you have a high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills - bilingual abilities are a plus; and the ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with the public, staff, and volunteers we’d like to hear from you!
