Crisis Fuel

Crisis Fuel is the emergency component of the State’s overall fuel assistance program and is administered by the Community Action Agencies. To that end, CVOEO staff determine Crisis Fuel eligibility and arrange assistance for eligible households directly with their fuel and utility providers.

The Crisis Fuel program considers assistance with both primary home heating fuel and electricity. As long as power is needed to maintain heat in a home (such as power to turn on a furnace), Crisis Fuel may be able to assist.

During the COVID-19 pandemic CVOEO is processing applications over the phone to limit traffic in our office. Please call our office before visiting.
