Nursing and Family Support

Prenatal, postpartum, and family support for Medicaid eligible women and children birth to age six and their families:

  • Childbirth education

  • Breastfeeding support

  • Support coping with stressful life events and the daily challenges of family life

  • Health and safety

Delivered by UVM Health Network Home, Health, and Hospice; Lund; and Milton Family Community Center

 

Specialized Child Care

Child care financial assistance for eligible families with children six weeks to thirteen years. Program consultation for early care and education and after school programs. Financial assistance for: 

  • Children with special health or developmental needs

  • Families with open cases with DCF - Family Services

  • Families experiencing significant, short term stress

Delivered by Child Care Resource

 

Early Intervention

Information and support for families with children ages birth to three experiencing developmental delays and/or special health needs: 

  • Supporting individual developmental goals

  • Coaching families and early care and education providers around individual child supports

  • Transition planning for services after early intervention

Delivered by Vermont Family Network

 

Early Childhood and Family Mental Health

Social and emotional support and consultation for children with challenging behavior and/or experience of trauma. Medicaid eligibility preferred. Consultation and partnership with families and early care and education providers: 

  • Attachment

  • Self-regulation

  • Identifying and expressing emotions

  • Social interactions
