Addison Community Action

Addison Community Action (ACA) is one of CVOEO’s three Community Action programs. We are located at 50 Industrial Avenue in Middlebury. While we assist folks who “walk in” as best we can, it is always best to call if you can before you come to ensure we can provide the service you need.

Services

Cold weather means it’s fuel season and we are thinking about taxes. Along with our year-round housing advocacy and help with applications for 3Squares, we provide assistance with applying for Seasonal Fuel benefits, administer the Crisis Fuel and Warmth programs and prepare tax returns for income eligible folks through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program - VITA. Our Community Navigator works with individuals and families helping them make connections with services, employment and strengthening the ties between clients and the communities where they live.

Feeding Champlain Valley's Addison Food Hub

The Addison Food Hub, working in collaboration with ACORN, provides fresh fruit and vegetables and shelf-stable items – along with culturally relevant foods - to community members in Addison County. Located at 616 Exchange Street in Middlebury, it is half a mile from Addison Community Action offices and is part of CVOEO’s anti-poverty work. It is open Monday through Friday, 10 AM – 3:30 PM. Call 802-377-3741 for information or visit FeedingChamplainValley.org.
