Addison Community Action

CVOEO has three Community Action programs providing services throughout the Champlain Valley. Addison Community Action (ACA) provides services to eligible individuals and families throughout Addison County.

Services

Addison Community Action helps connect our neighbors in need with resources for weatherization, guidance with finances, tenant’s rights and responsibilities, fuel assistance and other programs related to housing.

Addison Community Action partners with agencies throughout the county in looking at the health care needs of people experiencing homelessness.

Whether talking with neighbors at the Addison County Fair or sitting with a client in the office at 54 Creek Road, Addison Community Action works to make the values of compassion, equity, and justice a lived reality.

Addison Community Action Food Shelf

5% of the food distributed from Addison Community Action Food Shelf in 2021 was donated (6 ½ tons). Addison Community Action strives to get the most out of every generous donation and purchase. The Food Shelf buys in bulk and distributes so as to serve as many individuals and families as possible. Volunteers donate food and funds, stock shelves, and serve clients.

Food is shared via the use of our Food Shelf Van with CVOEO’s Food Access Network
