Addison Community Action

CVOEO has three Community Action programs providing services throughout the Champlain Valley. Addison Community Action (ACA) provides services to eligible individuals and families throughout Addison County.

Farmers Markets are up and running. That means Crop Cash and Farm-to-Family Coupons (PDF) are back! Both of these programs enable you to increase the value of your 3SquaresVT benefits, and the ACA team is ready to make the process as easy as possible to understand.

Please note: Crop Cash is available at participating Farmers Markets. Farm-to-Family coupons are available starting July 1 at our Addison Community Action Office.

Services

Addison Community Action helps connect our neighbors in need with resources for weatherization, guidance with finances, tenant’s rights and responsibilities, fuel assistance and other programs related to housing.

As part of CVOEO, with access to a depth and breadth of services, our focus is on the needs of our neighbors in Addison County. We meet with our clients face-to-face in our office, preparing taxes, discussing their particular circumstances, and, when appropriate, linking them to other agencies in our area.

Informed by our values, our goal is to work with individuals and families in Addison County, bridging gaps where they exist, and building a future in which people don’t just “survive”, but thrive.

Feeding Champlain Valley's Addison Food Hub

The Addison Food Hub has been operational since February, providing essential food access to community members in Addison County. Since its opening, the hub has played a vital role in distributing fresh produce, shelf-stable items, and culturally relevant foods to ensure families have access to nutritious meals. Just under two miles from Addison Community Action, it supplements our program's critical anti-poverty work.

If you live in the Addison County, visit the Addison Food Hub at 616 Exchange Street, Suite 1, Middlebury, VT, Mon–Fri, 10 AM – 3:30 PM for food and hygiene products.

The Addison County Food Hub is a part of Feeding Champlain Valley. Learn more about food access services in your area at FeedingChamplainValley.org.
