Rep. Balint visits CVOEO, tours new Feeding Champlain Valley Food Hub

Vermont Representative Becca Balint reportedly got a tour of the new Chittenden Food Hub and visited CVOEO’s headquarters this week.

A post from Feeding Champlain Valley officials says that Balint met with CVOEO program staff, on S. Champlain Street, to highlight ‘Community Action Program agencies’.

Officials also gave Balint a tour of the brand new Chittenden Food Hub. Feeding Champlain Valley notes that this new recourse for the greater Burlington area will open this fall.

CVOEO is a federally-designated community action agency that hosts various programs to help many meet basic needs like food, housing, child care and more. Among these resources is Feeding Champlain Valley, another CVOEO program that provides food resources.

Officials thanked Balint and her staff on Facebook for “recognizing this important work and taking the time to meet with CVOEO staff who strive to uplift and empower community members experiencing hardships.”
