The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO), which hosts 11 programs it says help “people meet their basic needs, achieve economic independence, and grow a future in which we all thrive,” is holding an open house at its Addison County office next week.

Addison Community Action (ACA), a CVOEO program, moved to Industrial Avenue in the north of Middlebury on June 23. The Addison Food Hub, which provides both non-perishable goods and fresh produce to people in need, opened on Exchange Street in February.

Those two programs, along with Champlain Valley Weatherization, which provides upgrades for homeowners and renters to save money on winter heating bills, are together hosting the open house on September 18.

The open house will begin at 11:00 a.m. with refreshments and conversation at the office at 50 Industrial Avenue, and will be followed by dessert at the Addison Food Hub one mile away at 616 Exchange Street.
