Child Food Security Plan Released
Hunger Free Vermont, the Vermont Foodbank, and Feeding Champlain Valley have released a strategic plan to address childhood hunger in Vermont. Developed in response to the Vermont Food Security Roadmap to 2035, the plan reflects input from more than 100 stakeholders and identifies 14 strategies to help ensure that every child has consistent access to the food they need to live, learn, and thrive.

Gleaning Partnership Expands Local Food Access
Feeding Champlain Valley is expanding its gleaning partnership with the Intervale Center to reduce food waste and increase access to fresh, local produce. Beginning this growing season, the program will coordinate gleaning at approximately 13 local farms from April through November, with produce distributed through an estimated 8 to 11 community partner organizations serving people experiencing food insecurity.
