CVOEO is Still Here - Hope and Action Cannot Be Shut Down

In moments of uncertainty, our community remains strong. Even during a government shutdown, our mission at CVOEO continues. We address fundamental issues of economic, social, racial, and environmental justice and work with people to achieve economic independence. That work does not pause -it is at the heart of who we are and continues every single day.

Even as the government shutdown raises challenges, our commitment to our communities remains steady and strong. Across CVOEO’s programs, we are bridging gaps and building futures: ensuring people have food, fuel, safety, and housing in times of crisis, while also supporting education, financial skills, and stability for the future.

Our vision – building a community where every person is valued, has access to opportunity, and can achieve their full potential - guides us forward. Our values - empathy, inclusion, action, learning, and deep commitment to community - remind us that together, we can weather any storm.

While the shutdown may cause uncertainty, our work does not stop. Hope, action, and community cannot be shut down. We are still here. We will continue to stand beside our neighbors as we create belonging, opportunity, and hope—today and for the future we’re building together.

We have planned for this scenario and hope for a quick resolution, and we remain committed to supporting our communities and one another during this time.

Thank you-friends, readers, advocates, and service providers- for all that you do to support our mission, our clients, and our communities. Your dedication, creativity, and compassion make all the difference.

With gratitude,

Your Neighbors at CVOEO
