BBF's policy recommendations for 2023 include making sure all children have "a healthy start." That means investing in care coordination for children with special health care needs, or from marginalized groups, expanding access to education and to mental health care. But the spotlight topic for this year is investing in safe, permanent housing.

"We have approximately 400 hundred families and 500 children experiencing homelessness," said Paul Dragon, executive director at CVOEO, a community partner with BBF.
