Burlington looks to the state for help combating homelessness and drug use downtown
Burlington city councilors are requesting the governor take new steps to help the Queen City address homelessness and drug use downtown. The request from city officials comes in the form of a resolution, which Burlington city councilors approved on a voice vote Monday night with support from Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak.
Sheldon Food Center Public Art
A new public artwork is taking shape for Healthy Roots Collaborative's Sheldon Food Distribution Center in Northwest Vermont. Led by artist Corrine Yonce, the project is rooted in the region’s food systems, agricultural landscape, gathering places, local history, and community relationships. Through field research, community conversation, and design development, the artwork will reflect stories of food, labor, care, place, and connection across the community.

Vermont Women’s Fund awards over $400,000 in grants to local nonprofits
The Vermont Women’s Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation, has awarded $411,650 to 46 nonprofit organizations across Vermont this year. The grants support programs that advance economic security, opportunity, and health and well-being for women+, girls, and gender-diverse individuals statewide.
