Fair Housing Information Clearinghouse
The Fair Housing Project’ Fair Housing Clearing House is a one-stop-shop designed to provide municipal officials, members of the public, landlords, property managers, advocates, and individuals with important information and links to fair housing resources in Vermont and across the country.
For individuals experiencing discrimination, we provide examples of reasonable accommodation and modification letters, links to organizations that can help you advocate for your fair housing rights, and case law and statutes to help you understand your rights.
For municipal officials and communities, this clearing house can help explain and provide relevant local resources to help you meet your obligation to affirmatively further fair housing. We have included relevant state statutes and cases, as well as examples of local ordinances and by-laws that your community can consult when complying with its obligations.
The clearing house is a resource for you: we welcome your feedback and are always looking for links, relevant cases, statutes, handbooks or other fair housing resources to include.
