provides comprehensive, family-centered services for parents and children, with resources and referrals in the areas of health, nutrition and other social services

 

Head Start Child and Family Services

Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities that help them develop their cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills. Head Start assisits parents in accessing family-centered medical and dental services for their children.

Head Start children receive healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting. Head Start helps all children succeed, and also provides services to children with special needs. Head Start children socialize with others, solve problems, work on basic literacy skills, and have experiences which help them become self-confident and excited about learning.
