Beginning in October of 2007, CCA anticipates helping uninsured workers enroll in the new Vermont healthcare program called Catamount Health Cost and Premium Assistance Program.
CCA can refer Green Mountain Power customers to their 2 programs, Power Partners and Energy Support Program. Income eligible households may be eligible for matching funds and/or a 10% discount on monthly usage. Call our office for more details.
Since 1980, CCA has been a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, helping low income households prepare their tax forms from February 1st through April 15th. Returns are electronically filed, resulting in a speedy refund. Volunteers are needed to assist taxpayers with preparing their tax returns – free training is provided.
During the spring and summer, CCA distributes Farm to Family coupons, vegetable seeds, plants and compost, as well as determining eligibility for scholarships for garden plots through the City of Burlington Parks and Recreation Department.
